About LB Research
Independent research for
complex markets.
LB Research is an independent research house specialising in systemic risk, market structure, and cross-asset fragility.
Institutional purpose
Why LB Research exists
A portfolio can hold many assets yet remain exposed to the same underlying behaviour. LB Research studies how common factors and changing cross-market relationships affect concentration and diversification.
Published studies connect those relationships to shock propagation, with methods and limitations set out so professional investors can assess the evidence for themselves.

How we work
Research Principles
Structure before narrative
The work begins with the forces beneath price: liquidity, correlation, dispersion, and the way risk travels across markets.
Evidence before conviction
Signals are tested across assets and regimes before they are framed as a useful research view.
Clarity without simplification
The aim is to make complex conditions legible while preserving uncertainty, context, and the limits of the evidence.

Working together
Research Partnerships
LB Research may undertake a limited number of commissioned research partnerships where the question fits its structural and cross-asset remit. Each engagement is shaped around a focused research question rather than a general consulting package.
